Nicolet Bankshares, Inc. and MidWestOne Financial Group, Inc. jointly announce a definitive merger agreement.
Here's what customers should know:
We're stronger together. Both of our banks have built successful, sustainable community banking models with deep local roots. By joining forces, we'll be able to serve our customers and communities even better—combining greater resources with the local knowledge and decision-making that make community banking special.
Customer needs matter. We are evaluating all products and services to make sure they continue to meet the needs of our customers.
We'll keep you informed. As we move through this process, we'll communicate any changes that impact you as soon as we have confirmed information.

MidWestOne Will Open as Nicolet National Bank on Monday, August 10, 2026
As we continue our journey toward becoming one bank, we want to keep you informed about what’s ahead.
Since February 13, 2026, MidWestOne Bank has been operating as a division of Nicolet National Bank. We will fully consolidate operations at the end of business on Friday, August 7, 2026, and officially open as Nicolet National Bank on Monday, August 10, 2026.
In the coming weeks, you will receive a disclosure package with details about your new Nicolet National Bank accounts, based on your current MidWestOne accounts. As we get closer to conversion weekend, we’ll also share answers to frequently asked questions and action steps related to changes to your accounts, cards, online banking, and more.
You may notice Nicolet National Bank signage appearing at your local MidWestOne branch ahead of the conversion, but all locations will continue operating as MidWestOne Bank until August 10.
One thing that will not change with this merger is our commitment to staying local. Decisions about banking and community investment will continue to be made by those closest to our customers. Local decision‑making remains one of the key differences between Nicolet and larger national competitors.
There is no action required at this time - please continue banking as usual with your current MidWestOne services and branches. For answers to frequently asked questions, visit nicoletbank.com. If you have additional questions, please contact your local banker, call 1-800-247-4418 or email [email protected].
We look forward to serving you.
Regards,
Mike Daniels
President & CEO
